Kanteron Systems is a very dynamic vertical open source software company with offices in New York (USA), Valencia (Spain), Geneva (Switzerland), and Lisbon (Portugal); and distributors (with Technical Support) in Miami (USA), and Mexico DF (Mexico). During 2008 we will be expanding our network of international distributors.

Kanteron Systems was founded in 2005 by nuclear physicist Alberto Corbí (who has researched and studied in, among other institutions, the Max Plank Institute in Germany) and computer scientist and businessman Jorge Cortell (who studied in Oxford and Harvard Universities, among others).

Kanteron Systems has quickly risen to be one of the leaders in Digital Medical Imaging software. The explosively fast international expansion that Kanteron Systems is experiencing reflects the great acceptance of Kanteron's products and services in the market.

Our vision has always been to develop, support, and promote the use of free/open source software whenever possible, always keeping in mind how to best meet our customers' needs with the most advanced, easy-to-use, and powerful technology. In fact, we are co-developers, sponsors, partners, official support, and/or economic supporters of several Free Software projects, such as Osirix , DCM4CHEE, and several others. We believe this is beneficial for everybody, for many reasons: while contributing to society and to the advancement of technology, we gain knowledge and can leverage an enourmous pool of extremely talented programmers, available 24 hours a day.
